ICT
We recognize that ICT (Information and Communication Technology) prepares pupils for life in a rapidly changing world.
The development of knowledge and ICT skills helps pupils access varied and developing technology with confidence and a sense of purpose.
ICT is used to explore, analyse, exchange and present information creatively. It teaches pupils to use their initiative and promotes independent thinking and learning. Children enjoy using ICT throughout our school.
Our early years pupils have access to a wide range of ICT resources including battery operated toys, remote controlled toys and also computers. These first steps in ICT are an important introduction to the immense range of technology they will grow up with and use as a natural part of their daily lives.
Pupils in the main school have access to class teaching in the ICT room which is fully equipped with laptops and interactive whiteboard. ICT teaching is twofold; firstly to teach and extend knowledge of ICT and secondly to support the curriculum.
Each classroom benefits from having a projector and laptop for teachers to extend their teaching and promote even higher standards and levels of achievement.
