Making Friends
Weston Green children establish firm friendships very quickly.
Young children enjoy being together, are interested in other children and want to get to know them. They quickly establish good relationships with each other; their friends are very important to them. We encourage friendships by showing them the importance of sharing and cooperation. We also focus on communication skills to promote stronger positive relationships. Making friends is an important part of a child’s development. In time they will learn about friendship based on trust, respect, honesty and kindness and appreciate their friends.
Weston Green children establish firm friendships very quickly and it is a delight to watch as children giggle, play, share news, congratulate each other on achievements and spend time together after school.
The family atmosphere of the school also establishes firm friendships amongst the adults, who act as role models for our pupils showing them the importance of valuing friendship.
At Weston Green we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly welcome to all new children and we are proud that parents acknowledge the fact that new pupils quickly become part of the family of the school.
