A wonderfully typical fortnight

Posted on: 30 Sep 2015 by Weston Green School

It has been a wonderfully typical WGS fortnight: the children have been really working well (I don’t think I have awarded quite as many Headmaster’s Awards in any one fortnightly period), we have had several trips out (read more of these inside), had our first Class Assembly, played our first matches of the season .. and even had the parents working away hard at English in our ‘How we teach English’ evening. Yes, we are in full swing now and it’s great to be a part of the purposeful, energetic and focused school atmosphere.

This was something our visitors remarked upon on Open Morning last week when the children were at their best, with Y6 making the most of their first opportunity to impress our guests and the other children (and staff!) revelling in the activities and lessons on show. It was another reminder to me of how much goes into each day and what a wonderful togetherness there is in our school community. Long may it be so!
