Entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis officially opens Key Stage 2 extension

Posted on: 27 Sep 2016 by Weston Green School | Category: General News, Key Stage 2

Entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis has officially opened Weston Green School's new Key Stage 2 extension.

Pupils, parents and other invited guests gathered to celebrate the occasion and to witness the cutting of the ribbon on the new purpose-built facilities, by special guest, Mr Paphitis.

Visitors also enjoyed tea and cake and the opportunity to tour the new extension which has created additional classroom space to accommodate two forms from Year 3 upwards, as well as a large, flexible area for practical learning.

Mr Mike Harrison, Headteacher at Weston Green School, said “It is a great privilege to welcome Mr Paphitis to the school and we are delighted to officially mark the opening of our new building for Key Stage 2 pupils.

“The additional learning areas and new classroom space will be of great benefit to pupils in Years 3 to 6 and I know that the children are very much enjoying their new surroundings. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the grand opening and of course to our special guest, Mr Paphitis, for making it such a special occasion.”
