Memories Are Made Of This - End of Year Performance

Posted on: 22 Jul 2014 by Weston Green School | Category: Early Years, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2

The whole Weston Green School community came together last week for the children’s end of year show which proved to be a toe-tapping, light-hearted, sometimes serious and at times very moving celebration of the last 27 years – the length of time Mrs Harvey has been at the school.

The children looked at events both within Weston Green and the wider world over this period, with the Kindergarten children taking the great storm of 1987 as their inspiration, through a tribute to Nelson Mandela from RM, Cabbage Patch kids from RG, a look at films and music from Year 1 and the new Millenium from Year 2. KS2 looked at the last decade, with the Year 3 Abbavengers, fabulous musical items from Year 4, sport from Year 5 with champions of the future and Year 6 looking ahead to pastures new as they prepare to leave the school.

The show was presented as a tribute to Mrs Harvey: her dedication to and passion for the school are unrivalled and we bid her a very fond farewell. We are very proud of the talent within the school, so much of which was on display during the show. The children worked so hard, built their confidence and learnt a great deal about teamwork along the way.
