New history project is launched

Mr Harrison has launched this year’s independent research project for KS1 and KS2 with a choice of three subjects:

The Queen - who is now our longest reigning monarch as well as celebrating her 90th Birthday this year.
The Battle of Hastings – 2016 marks the 450th anniversary of this famous battle.
Shakespeare – this year will be 400 years since Britain’s most famous playwright died.

Last year saw a wonderful collection of projects on VE Day, with some ingenious ideas beautifully, and in some cases movingly, presented in highly individual ways.

We are looking forward to seeing what the children produce this year and will share their work with you next term. Many of them are already buzzing with suggestions which bodes very well!
