Esher students lead sports session

Posted on: 06 May 2015 by Weston Green School | Category: Key Stage 2, Year 3

The summer term brings with it lovely weather, enjoyment, picnic lunches, and of course summer sports. Year 3 have started their cricket training and are working towards their athletics medal which will be awarded at the end of the term.

On Tuesday however, the pupils took a welcome break and walked to Esher College for a sports session led by the students. This is a change of both routine for the children, as they are able to work with students who are passionate about sports, and a change of environment for them to explore. The session started with an introduction from the students and the children were then split into groups. The children were then given a short period of time on different activities, which would help develop speed, agility, teamwork and leadership.

The morning was a fantastic opportunity for the children, and one which was thoroughly enjoyed.
