Red Nose Day

Posted on: 29 Mar 2017 by Weston Green School | Category: Early Years, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2

Red Nose Day is always an eagerly anticipated event at Weston Green School, never more so than this year with the excitement of finding the rare red nose and being lucky enough to have Hampton and Richmond Borough Football Club in to lead sessions with all of the children.

Over the course of the day, each year group had the opportunity to work on their football skills with Mr Dowson and some of the Academy players from HRBFC. The sessions saw the children engaged and active, practising passing skills and enjoying the opportunity to learn from the Academy players.

Underpinning the events of the day was the knowledge that all was being done for a good cause, raising money for a charity that does so much good, both here and around the world. The children had time to reflect on the work Comic Relief does and think how their donation could affect the lives of different people all over the world.

A big thank you to Mr Dowson and all of the Academy players who delivered such a fantastic day for the children; we very much look forward to working with you again soon.
