Robin Hood has a rival in 5H

Posted on: 13 May 2015 by Weston Green School

This morning we all headed off to le Chateau to spend a fantastic, sunny day doing archery, aeroball and fencing. Mrs Hawkins’ group began the day with archery and, after learning some important techniques, the competition began. Whilst some of the children showed a definite preference for the grass and bushes as their target, others quickly got their eye in and built up good scores. For the final round balloons were attached to the target, and if you burst the balloon you doubled your score. Poor Jack and Joe were frustrated to scrape but not burst the balloon, but William was thrilled to hit the balloon and double his score, securing him an amazing 455 points!
