Speech Day

Posted on: 12 Jul 2017 by Weston Green School | Category: Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2

We celebrated the achievements of the children in KS1 and KS2 at Speech Day recently, holding the event for the first time at All Saints Church. Each member of our departing Year 6 cohort received prizes marking their success across all areas of the curriculum, reminding us of how they have all learned with joyful enthusiasm during their time at Weston Green.

Speech Day marks the formal end of the academic year and Mr Harrison gave his review of the year, reminding us all of the highlights of the year and making us wonder how the children (and staff!) have managed to fit so much in.

Mr Mark Malley, the CEO of Bellevue Education, presented the prizes and spoke about the importance of creative thinking, teamwork and innovation for children learning in today’s world.

Refreshments were served back at school after the end of the formal proceedings and it was wonderful to welcome so many parents to the event. How has another school year (almost) come to an end?!
