Sports day for KS1 and KS2

Posted on: 29 Jun 2016 by Weston Green School | Category: Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Kindergarten

It was the moment we had all been waiting for, the sporting event of the year! Forget the Euros and the Olympics, it was all about Weston Green’s Sports Day, and it certainly did not disappoint.

The competition was fierce. Could Arbrook add yet another sporting competition to their bursting trophy cabinet? Could Littleworth go one step further to securing the Harvey Shield for the term and be the first House to retain it? Could Ditton add this trophy to the Netball and Football they won in autumn? Could Fairmile be the underdog and catch the others and put themselves back in the race for the Harvey Cup?

In the end, it Ditton was victorious, with Fairmile second, and it all coming down to the final event, the house relay, which had more twists and turns than the Scilly Isles. The children were exemplary in all the events they competed in, with Rorke and Holly the Victor and Victrix Ludorum , and both only winning by one point, showing the competitive nature of the day.

Thank you to all the parents who turned up and supported the even - you help to make the day what it is.
