The children in Reception are enjoying the next topic for the first half of the Summer term where they learn about space.

We have been focusing on our solar system at present and we have each researched and created one of the eight planets or the sun.

The topic is inspiring and engaging and favourite activities have included: re-enacting the story Whatever Next, writing about items we would take on a journey to the moon and building rockets with natural materials. The class is very interested in the dwarf planet Pluto and the current mission of the unmaned spacecraft Cassini as it dives through Saturn's rings.
