Year 5 harvest the fruits of their labours

Year 5 were thrilled this week to go out into the school vegetable garden and harvest the tomatoes they had grown over the summer. The summer holiday’s combination of sun and rain, and the excellent care which the children gave the young plants before the holiday, meant that there was a bumper crop of delicious juicy tomatoes. They delivered them with pride to Courtney in the kitchen and then had the pleasure of seeing their produce on the salad bar at lunchtime.
