Community Spirit and Teamwork at Weston Green School

At Weston Green School in Thames Ditton, our house system is essential in fostering community spirit and teamwork among children. This system promotes camaraderie and a sense of belonging, enriching the childrens’ school experience.

Our Houses: Local Connections

Our four houses – Littleworth, Ditton, Arbrook, and Fairmile – are named after local commons, reflecting our deep connection to the area. Each house embodies the spirit of its namesake, reinforcing our ties to the local community and environment.

House Activities: Unity and Mentorship

In our latest Glimpse into video, you can see House Captains leading various activities. These include the Christmas quiz, where children across the school engage in friendly competition, and reading sessions where older pupils mentor younger ones. Such activities foster a sense of unity and mentorship, highlighting the supportive relationships within our school.

The video also showcases children competing in sports, highlighting the joy and teamwork our house system brings. These events are not just about winning but about participating, supporting peers, and celebrating collective achievements.

Our house system at Weston Green School is more than just a tradition; it is a vital part of our community, encouraging collaboration, mentorship, and joy among our children.  Learn more in this short video:
