Milo’s Journey

Year left: 2015

Destination School at 11+: Tiffin Boys

Which teacher at Weston Green inspired you the most and why?
The teacher that inspired me most was Mrs Smit because she was kind, caring, knowledgeable, and greatly encouraged me in everything I did. It was her who first suggested that I sing and it has been one of my favourite hobbies since then.

What achievements are you most proud of?
My proudest achievement at Weston Green was appearing in the production of Joseph, which I couldn’t have done without the help of Mr Godwin, Mrs Griffin and Mrs Pinhey.

In what ways did Weston Green prepare you for life and for your secondary school?
Weston Green helped to prepare me for secondary school by showing me how to be a good friend and by teaching me that there is more to life than exams (but how to pass exams too!).

What is your fondest memory of your time at Weston Green?
I have loads of fond memories of Weston Green, but my top two are my ongoing battle with Mr Dowson over sweets at the PGL residential and helping the little ones in Reception.

Since leaving Weston Green, I have carried on with my singing and am now with the Tiffin Choir. Thank you to Weston Green for encouraging me to perform on stage.
