Virtual Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Weston Green School. Whilst the world may have temporarily stopped, planning for your child's education and development should not, and we are delighted to welcome you virtually to our school.

Following the UK Government announcement to close schools on 23 March, we are unfortunately not able to welcome prospective families to the school. However, during the school closure period, we have ensured a virtual admissions process is in place to provide families who are considering Weston Green with the information they need.

We hope that our website, videos, photos and prospectus give you a flavour of what Weston Green has to offer, and we will be delighted to welcome you to the school as soon as we possibly can.  You can view a copy of our prospectus below:

Our virtual admissions process is outlined below. In the first instance, we would invite you to get in touch with our School and Admissions Secretary Mrs Ranger on info@westongreenschool.org.uk or via our enquiry form.

In the meantime, please meet our Headteacher, Mrs Evans and Deputy Headteacher, Mr Lang below:

If you would like to view more videos of our Early Years including virtual tours, preparation for starting school and meeting our teachers for both Kindergarten and Reception, please do visit our Early Years Hub.

We look forward to meeting you and learning more about your child, albeit virtually for the time being

Make an Enquiry

We invite you to contact Mrs Ranger on info@westongreenschool.org.uk or via our enquiry form. She will send you our online prospectus and discuss the next steps in our admissions process. She will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have at this stage.

Virtual Meeting with the Head

We invite you to meet with the Head, Mrs Evans, virtually via Zoom video call or similar. In the meeting, you will be able to discuss the needs of your child and ask questions about how Weston Green can help nurture and develop your child's talents and abilities. Depending on which year group your child would be joining, we will also ensure you meet relevant members of our team virtually.  We may also be able to offer your child a "virtual" taster session with the class they would be joining

Registration and Assessment

Following a meeting with the Head, we will invite you to register for a place at Weston Green. We will discuss how your child will be assessed depending on the year group they would be joining. For children who are joining Early Years, we would ask for a contact at your child's current school or nursery, whilst for pupils who are joining the KS1 and KS2, we will ask for a recent school report and a reference from your child's current school.

Offer and Acceptance

Once we have reviewed the information provided, we will be able to confirm whether we are able to offer a place for your child. We will then send a formal offer letter together with our Terms and Conditions, which you will need to sign and agree to in order to accept a place.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you "virtually" to our School.
