Key Stage 2

Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

In Key Stage 2 (KS2) each individual is supported to further their learning and personal development and all pupils are provided with a wide range of opportunities both in and outside of the classroom, to help them reach their full potential.

From Year 3, pupils are encouraged to take on additional responsibilities in school, such as becoming a member of the School Council, whilst regular Sports fixtures and competitions ensure that the children develop a healthy sense of competition as they move up the school.

We endeavour to provide motivation and promote self-esteem by focusing on all aspects of achievement. Ongoing celebration of significant individual progress of which the pupil can be proud, is a priority in our School. Pupils in Key Stage 2 are also supported to develop their independence and leadership skills, through various activities and initiatives, such as our Thursday Afternoon Activities. Residential Trips also help our older children to build their confidence, ahead of their move on to senior schools at 11+

Endeavour Award Scheme

Pupils in Key Stage 2 can work towards Bronze, Silver and Gold levels in the school's own 'Weston Green Endeavour Awards’, helping to celebrate the children's many achievements and their personal development outside of school. Find out more.

Weston Green offers academic scholarships to external applicants who are currently in National Curriculum Years 2 to 5 and who demonstrate exceptional ability at assessment.
