Magical moments

Posted on: 12 Jul 2017 by Weston Green School

It has been a school year full of accomplishment, personal growth, energy, laughter and joy.

As I highlighted on Speech Day, Weston Green is a magical place and this year has been particularly full of ‘magic moments’, it seems to me.  You will have your own, I hope. In my own mind’s eye, I am seeing images of wizards in their gowns carrying wands, tyre riding, concert performances, dinosaur hunting, special days in and out of school and art scholar pieces. It all seems to have epitomised our motto: ‘Learning with Joyful Enthusiasm’ with so much wonderful learning combining with such energy and joy. Whatever you maybe picturing, I hope these memories will linger for a long time, especially for those leaving us from amongst the pupil (and parent) body and from our teaching team. In our Final Assembly on Thursday we shall, as always, re-live many of those special times in the form of the end of term presentation, which we shall also make available to parents to help capture those memories.

On Wednesday, we shall wish a fond farewell to this year’s fantastic Year 6 at the Leavers’ Service; we shall miss them a very great deal as they have been full of goodness.

After such a great term and year, may you have a glorious summer break with your amazing children.
