We have raced to half-term in what feels like the blink of an eye and yet the break will, conversely, be much deserved by all due to the effort and energy that is exerted each day in achieving so much. Already memories of the year are being made: trips to Hampton Court, Bignor Roman villa and Garson farm, the visit of the Happy Puzzle Company, matches, the wonderful Poetry competition and nerve-jingling Final, art workshop .. the list could go on and the children will have their own to cherish.
Midst all this activity, it seems to me that there is a new thing happening as the older children, always close to the little ones it seems, are taking even great care of the younger children at playtime and are now often seen generating games for them and interacting so wonderfully. This is indicative of the school where a sense of oneness and community is real and where genuine sense of fun together and care of each other leads to action.
Yes, a super half term with many abiding memories, the greatest of which is that sense that we are travelling the road together and that is exciting indeed.
May you have a superb half-term and may the children return ready for another exciting and challenging time at this wonderful school.
