We have had two utterly fabulous weeks focusing firstly upon ‘Science’ and then upon our ‘Project ‘16’. The children have again responded superbly to the challenge set before them and epitomised that ‘learning with joyful enthusiasm’ which genuinely characterises the daily life of the school; I am sure that those of you who attended will have marveled at the children’s imagination, rigour and depth of knowledge.
As we build towards exams, what better way of doing so than to focus on maths (w/b 2/5) and then Revision Week? The richness of research and creativity of the projects will dovetail well with the more intense focus upon exams as that time nears and should offer the children every chance to show us their true best, which is always all we ask for.
The stresses and strains of exam time will be followed by the week’s residential trip for Years 5 and 6 and what a wonderful trip that promises to be! By the time half-term is here, it will have been well-earned by all. However, there is much to attempt and accomplish before then – onwards …
