As we make our way from January to February, it is pleasing to reflect on how wonderfully well the children have been responding to the many opportunities for them to challenge themselves in their learning. The children understand increasingly well that this is the way they stretch their brains and it is most impressive to see them embracing a growth mindset so fully.
The recent Learning Review was the most successful we have ever had: the visiting team from across the Bellevue group were effusive in their praise for the quality of teaching and learning. This, on the back of the extraordinarily positive comments made by ISI last term, is yet more evidence that we are delivering enthralling lessons which are fully engaging the children and driving their education.
This is also the time when the 11+ results filter through: it is always a delight when we can announce that all Year 6 have again been offered places at chosen schools. Whilst we await some of the detail, it represents yet more success for the school, not least as this has been achieved with relative calm by retaining a wonderful balance in what we do.
Yes, it has been another really fine half-term and a great start to 2018, with further exciting times ahead.
