Last week was Open Morning. We had planned a programme which tried to give a true indication of the variety of educational diet that WGS provides: the youngest would, as ever, be outside ‘exploring’, there would be maths and English on show, along with computing, art, drama, music, poetry and different sports on the new Astro. Alongside that, visitors would have the chance to meet not only staff but present parents as well. However, whilst all that was wonderful, I have little doubt that what our visitors welcomed and valued above all was the chance to be toured by the Year 6 pupils; full of energy, pride and enthusiasm, they were simply superb and demonstrated in a natural way what a WGS education gives. As Head, it is both a source of immense pride and humility. Well done and thank you Year 6!
