I am writing this as the final touches are just being put to our 3 wonderful Christmas performances. The sounds and chatter around the rehearsals never fails to bring a smile and the school has been ringing to the sound of so many infectious Christmas songs over the last few weeks! It is difficult to imagine singing anything else! We hope many of you will take time to join with us at the children’s performances next week. It is always lovely to see how children from Kindergarten to Year 6 demonstrate such confidence and enjoyment in their very different celebrations of Christmas. Throughout their preparation, the children have been impressive in the way they have collaborated, worked hard but also enjoyed the idea of performing to an audience!
These performances are the culmination of an exciting, hard working and productive first term of the school year. A term full of impressive moments like these where children have demonstrated their achievements and their wonderful attitudes in learning, their growing independence and sense of responsibility at all stages and ages, their focus on caring for each other, commitment towards making a difference, but above all their enjoyment in learning and getting the most out of life at school.
It has been busy, but I don’t think we, or the children, would have it any other way. To watch our children grasping the many opportunities laid out before them, and learning and growing so much as a result, is all we can wish for.
May I take this opportunity to thank each and every family for their support throughout this year and on behalf of the children and the staff we wish you a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
