We were hugely impressed by fantastic performances from our finalists on Thursday 8th March when the all of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered for the final of our House Poetry Competition.
The children were confident, expressive and full of smiles throughout their performances - a couple of children even wrote and performed their own poems! It was a brilliant afternoon and our guest of honour, Rosie Gill (who we invited back a second time because she did such a brilliant job last year) was very impressed with the exceptionally high standard of all the finalists. It was not easy for her to choose an overall winner, but George in Year 5 was thrilled when he was awarded the trophy for his superb recitation of a Robert Louis Stephenson poem. Staff, parents and peers all feel very proud of everyone who was involved.
