Weston Green Alumni: Faren’s Journey

Which years did you attend Weston Green?
2015 and 2016 (Years 5 and 6)

Which Secondary School did you attend after Weston Green?
Whitgift School

What have you done since leaving Weston Green and what achievements are you most proud of?
I am proud of just being selected for the Surrey Hockey Squad. I had never held a Hockey stick until Mr Harrison handed me one at a Friday's Games lesson!

I am also proud of being selected for the Whitgift "A" Football Team touring Dubai and Abu Dhabi in early 2018, and also the Whitgift "A" Hockey Team tour of Barcelona.

What are you doing now and what do you enjoy most about it?
I am really enjoying learning Mandarin Chinese and also other extra-curricular activities after school, including Cookery Club.

In what ways did Weston Green prepare you for life?
It taught me a lot about friendship and being nice to others. Also, Weston Green prepared me for my 11+ entrance exam and all of the interview practice really helped.

What is your fondest memory of your time at Weston Green?
Captaining the Football Team when me and my school friends won the ISA National Plate in Nottingham.

How would you sum up your experience at Weston Green in one word?
