The school council have had a very busy time this term and have done lots of fantastic fundraising for the school. We had a very successful ‘round pound’ day where we recycled our old £1 coins in exchange for bright, shiny new ones! We were also amazed by the response to our ‘Weston Green Bake Off’. We had over 70 entries and raised an enormous £343.98.
Some of the ‘show stoppers’ were just that - and it was extremely hard for our special guest Mrs Guignard from the French Table in Surbiton to pick a winner. Mrs Guignard commented on the variety of entries and the exceptional standard of the cakes that were entered. After a lot of hard thinking Mrs Guignard chose Sam in Year 5, who had baked a take on a McDonalds Burger, as the winner! Well done Sam! Also a huge thank you must go to you all for your support of Weston Green and our charities.
