On Friday 8th November, four pupils from Year 5 took part in the Battle of the Brains competition at Epsom College. Other competing schools included Aberdour, The Mall and The Study Prep. The pressure was on to retain the big, shiny trophy that we won last year!
The first activity was a team-building exercise and the Weston Green team - Ben, Charlie, Eva and Heidi - worked well together to gain a few points. This was followed by the individual rounds.
The final event was a beat-the-buzzer quiz, where the team tried to gain points. Epsom College did an excellent job of hosting the event, keeping the teams entertained in between rounds and moving proceedings on in a fun way. Butterflies were fluttering as the final scores were announced - and The Mall were the winners!
Congratulations to the children who took part and did incredibly well, and thank you to the parents and staff who went along to support them.
