A truly wonderful day was had by all of Key Stage 1 and Year 6 who set off early on Tuesday for their annual trip to the beach - always a favourite day for lots of us, including the staff.
As well as having fun, we were also learning all the time and developing our Learner Profile skills as we played and carried out activities with our teachers and friends. We had a safety talk and demonstration from two of the local lifeguards, teaching us how to stay safe on the beach and what to do if we ever got into any trouble in the water. We were busy ‘Bees’ and creative ‘Spiders’ as we worked in teams to build sandcastles. We showed our resilience as wonderful ‘Woodpeckers’ as we played ball games in the sand and if we were truly wise ‘Owls’, then we would have figured out a way to push our Callippo ice lollies up without launching them into the sand!
We all had a great day of outdoor learning and celebrating Year 6's final days with us before they embark on their new adventures. We will miss you, Year 6!
