Forest school is an excellent opportunity for the children to explore their surroundings and learn in a hands-on, interactive and engaging way. The children fully immerse themselves in all the activities they are set and use their creativity and imaginations in ways that are not often seen within the classrooms. Over the last few weeks, children have been up to lots of exciting activities which have been immersive and challenging. These have included creating and building an obstacle course for a squirrel, making clay woodland animals, making a den for a hedgehog and even creating their own mini version of the forest school area! Each week the children are treated to a special fireside snack which has included toasted crumpets with melted butter, toasted brioche and even cheesy pitta toasties! Forest school is a big hit with the children and an event which is looked forward to each week!
