We were delighted to welcome grandparents of children from Kindergarten up to Year 6 to our annual Grandparents' Afternoon yesterday. This event has grown in popularity and we had almost 100 grandparents attending this year.
Despite us being unable to arrange for the sun to shine, the grandparents were taken on tours of the school by their grandchildren and were treated to tea and cake, served by Year 6, while hearing the Key Stage 1 Choir perform.
Some grandparents attended a French lesson, others were shown how to play basketball and there were many excited conversations and discussions around what the children have been learning. The children all loved being tour guides - we thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many grandparents and we thank them all for coming.
