Weston Green School celebrated the Harvest Festival at All Saints Church, Thames Ditton last week.
We were thrilled to be able to return at last to live performances in front of a real audience. Each pod sang songs, played instruments, recited poems and gave readings. There has been a school-wide focus on food this term - how the way we eat, shop and produce food impacts upon the world and also how some people may be struggling to feed their families locally and further afield. Many of the songs, readings and poems focussed on imparting this important message to our audience and children brought in harvest gifts for the East Elmbridge Food Bank. Our three choirs also had the opportunity to give their first performances of the year, benefitting from the beautiful acoustics found in All Saints Church.
