The plans to expand the provision in Key Stage Two (Year 3 – Year 6) are both logical and exciting: we want to be able to offer a Weston Green education to as many as would like it and the new building will enable us to give continuity of co-education from 3 -11 in this unique and very special environment.
The new building will house 4 new classrooms and give us another ‘learning space’ which will offer flexibility and enable us to do more exploratory learning and, above all perhaps, practical science more easily.
Given the continuing development of the outdoor area, one can envisage the site ‘complete’ in terms of major builds, fully equipped and buzzing with excited learners. Moreover, this development will allow us to think bigger, to have more resources and therefore more options, to develop further how we teach as well as what - and all without losing those tangible feelings of oneness, harmony and fun.
Last year brought some significant change and development – the next four or five (God willing) will see the school grow into its fullness, with all the blessings and benefits that will bring. That is exciting indeed.
