On a day which seemed more like the height of Summer than mid-Autumn, Years 3, 4 and 5 set off for the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington to watch the Primary Proms concert.
Before entering the spectacular and awe-inspiring hall itself, they sat on the steps of the stunning gold Albert memorial to enjoy their picnic lunch in the sunshine. They were surrounded by hundreds of other excited primary school children who had all come to Kensington for this muscial event.
After lunch, they made their way to their seats, high up in the Royal Albert Hall, to be entertained by a variety of young musicians singing and playing a vast range of material. The Music for Youth Primary Proms provides children across the UK with the opportunity to experience live music in major concert halls across the country and encourage their involvement with music.
Weston Green certainly enjoyed their opportunity to see live music-making at this stunning venue.
