Posted on: 08 Apr 2014 by Weston Green School | Category: Music
Our termly teatime concert took place recently and the audience of parents, grandparents, friends and staff greatly enjoyed varied performances from pianists, some of whom only started learning in September, and singers, including Mrs. Griffin’s musical theatre trio, who performed ‘When I Grow Up’ from Matilda, the Musical.
Our first drummers also performed, with Mr. Kennedy on electric guitar, and received an enthusiastic response from the audience. We are thrilled with their progress since introducing drums in September and look forward to involving them in further musical events.
Tea, squash and biscuits were served before the start, creating a relaxed environment for the young musicians, all of whom did themselves and their teachers proud.
