On Thursday morning, Weston Green welcomed into its Kindergarten classes the children who will be joining Reception in September 2014. It was their first visit to the school and provided them with an opportunity to meet the children who will be in their class next year. During their induction morning the children had the opportunity to take part in a lot of exciting activities including:
Making a magic potion
Observing some tadpoles in the classroom
Some drawing on the interactive whiteboard
Making a crown and a wand
A music lesson with Mrs Pinhey
Going on a treasure hunt and finding a Weston Green teddy
These activities all related to Kindergarten’s topic of Fairy Tales and in particular ‘The Frog Prince’ which the children listened to this week.
We look forward to welcoming the children in September.
