Showcasing our creative curriculum to parents

We were blessed with a beautiful sunny morning to welcome parents into school this week for our Open Morning. With a focus on creativity, active learning and the promotion of thinking skills, parents were able to explore the school and see a wide variety of activities taking place both inside and outside.

The children were excited to explain to parents what they were learning and to share their ideas and opinions. From caterpillar printing in Kindergarten and a range of outdoor Maths activities in Year 2, to collaborating to perform a Latin play in Year 6, the breadth of the curriculum was on full display.

Examples of writing from across all Key Stages were displayed in the hall for parents to see the progression from the youngest to oldest pupils, as well as some fantastic 3D artwork from Key Stage 2.The development of a range of skills was also in evidence in the Games sessions on the astro.

We hope the parents who attended enjoyed gaining an insight into a working morning at Weston Green.
