Reception have been absolute superstars! They all adapted straight away to the new way of doing things in the current situation, and have risen to the challenge of taking responsibility for their own pencil cases, folders and workspaces. We have been making the most of the sunshine by exploring planting and growing, observing how they change over time and learning about the parts of a flower. They have also been investigating and experimenting with liquids, containers and capacity - solving problems and sharing their findings with their classmates. In their writing the children wanted to take the opportunity to thank their parents for helping them learn during lockdown, which resulted in some beautifully written letters that went home as emails to mums and dads.
