Reception had the most wonderful and exciting day visiting Bocketts Farm on 12 March.
After a short coach journey we arrived at the farm and were welcomed by the Bocketts Farm staff members who were very friendly and helpful. We had a brief safety talk followed by a visit to the small animal village ‘Little Hoppington’ which was a wonderful place to meet the small furry friends! The children had the opportunity to stroke rabbits and guinea pigs and watched a goat being milked.
Next, we hopped on board the tractor and trailer and saw lots of scarecrows and saw many of the animals in the fields. Then we visited the Big Animal Barn, where the children got the opportunity to get up close and even feed the larger animals.
Being a glorious spring day, we were able to enjoy a lunch outdoors in the picnic area.
The visit concluded with the Bocketts Farm famous Pig Race, which the children really enjoyed!
