Weston Green's School Council provides elected pupils from Years 3 to 6 with the opportunity to represent the views of their fellow pupils and to help improve the school.
Last term, the School Council came up with the great idea of having a buddy/friendship stop in the playground.
It is situated next to a bench near the main building and children can choose to sit on the bench if they are feeling lonely or if they need someone to play with. Other children will then see them, have a quick chat and find a suitable playmate or game for them to participate in. It has been a great success so far and many new friendships have been made as a result of it.
