The Weston Green School Council Representatives have had a busy few weeks.
On Friday 1st March, we led an assembly for the whole school in order to remind everyone what it is we do and how we can work together as ‘Team Weston Green’ to make the School Council even more brilliant than it already is.
We think the children enjoyed our assembly and we know that the teachers, Mrs Evans and the children all support us in being the best School Council we can be. We have also helped to choose new playground markings for the playground and we are excited that these should be painted on in time for us to enjoy them in the Summer term.
In amongst other School Council business, our main focus has been the ‘Quiet Courtyard’ transformation. We have met with the Chair of the PA and discussed this with many members of staff. We want the space between the Art Room and Year 1 to be a welcoming place for us to use as a ‘chill out’ area, for relaxation and for some outdoor learning. We have asked pupils for designs for murals and artwork to go on the walls and for ideas about what we could put in this space. We welcome ideas from across the school community, so please let us know if you have any.
