Year 6 have been busy putting festive cheer into the science lab in the last few weeks. Their task was to build a new improved Rudolph to guide Santa's sleigh. Using the skills they have learnt in the recent topic on electricity, their models needed a light up nose and a rotating tail for propulsion. All this needed to be controlled by a flick of a switch. The children have all worked incredibly hard and independently with some amazing results.
In the past few weeks Year 5 have been exploring forces in their science lessons. This has included testing Archimedes and Galileo's theories on gravity, designing parachutes and investigating friction. They have definitely been enjoying hands on science.
