Thursday afternoons have a particular buzz at Weston Green as the children take part in their chosen activity as part of the regular activity programme.
The children spend a term in their group, which will include a mix of ages from KS1 and KS2. The staff and children look forward to the sessions as the atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with the children learning new skills as well as socialising with both older and younger pupils.
This term’s programme includes dance and fitness, chess, Italian, designing and making comic strips, handchimes, coding and making a scrapbook.
Year 6 pupils can also choose to work in Reception, helping with a range of practical activities or reading with the children. This is always very popular and is keenly anticipated by both Reception and Year 6!
