Posted on: 20 Sep 2018 by Weston Green School | Category: Key Stage 2, Year 3, Year 4
No sooner had term started than Years 3 and 4 headed off to High Ashurst for their one-night residential trip. The excitement of coming back to school was superseded by the excitement of spending a night away - for many of the children for the very first time. Whilst the trip was only for one night, the children certainly packed a huge amount in, taking part in a challenging range of physical and mental activities which really enabled them to demonstrate their Learner Profile characteristics: they took risks like squirrels, worked in teams like bees, persevered when things got tough like the woodpecker, were creative spiders, wise owls and most of all showed badger-like independence as they coped in new surroundings without the support of mum and dad.
Have a look at the photo gallery, and watch our video below, to find out more about what Years 3 and 4 got up to at High Ashurst.
