Year 1 have started the term with great enthusiasm for Forest School. They are living by the rules of 'Look after ourselves, each other and the woods’ by wrapping up well, doing a group 'Keep Warm' circuit, making bird feeders for feathered friends and leaving no trace of their visit.
Lots of discovery and exploring has led to cries of "I've found baby worms", "we've built an elf house" and, more worryingly, "we saw the eye of a wolf.....!" The children are also building up their weather observation and recording skills, and are looking forward to testing where Hedgie the Year 1 Hedgehog might be warmest in the woods, next week.
