Year 1 Explore the Polar Regions

Year 1 Explore the Polar Regions

Year 1 have been busy learning all about The Arctic and The Antarctic for the past few weeks. Children have learnt about the animals that live there, the weather, the physical features and what life would be like in each of these regions. The children engaged with a mini project where they had to present information on the polar regions in whichever way they liked. This was a great chance for children to show off their creativity skills and impress us with all of their new knowledge about these areas. We had such a range of projects across the year group including; video presentations, e-books, leaflets, books and even tourist billboards! Some children decided to present their work in an artistic way by designing scenes from The Arctic and The Antarctic whereas others decided to put their fantastic writing skills to use. We are so proud of how hard all of the children have worked!
