Year 2 had a fantastic morning applying their maths skills and demonstrating their Learner Profile characteristics, working together as 'busy bees' to solve a range of problems. They showed great teamwork and perseverance, proving themselves to be 'wonderful woodpeckers' and 'outstanding owls' as they reflected on the best way to tackle the challenges.
The children have recently been developing their addition and subtraction and measuring and estimating skills during our maths lessons and loved this opportunity to apply these outside practically. Activities ranged from estimating and measuring different items in the playground, to cracking a code using addition and subtraction to collect a range of items. Well done, Year 2!
