“Challenging”; “Magnificent”; “Exciting”; “Cool”; “Awesome”; “Frustrating”; “Amazing”
…are just a small selection of the adjectives that Year 3 have used to describe the circus workshop they attended on Wednesday afternoon. The workshop was an inspiring and entertaining ‘hook’ for the start of our new term’s curriculum theme: “Magic, Mystery and Mayhem”.
During awe-inspiring sessions, the children witnessed our circus guest performing fantastic feats of juggling, balancing, plate spinning and all with a good measure of clowning around, before having a go on their own. The children were incredible when they faced the challenge of learning some very tricky new skills and the look of determination on their faces was a sight to behold!
Perseverance and resilience were required in bucket-loads and Year 3 didn’t disappoint. Activities included diablo throwing, stilt-walking, tight-rope walking, peacock feather balancing and pedal racing; squeals of delight could be heard throughout.
