Friday 23rd April was the day of Year 3’s long-awaited trip to Henley Fort and what perfect weather we had for it! Despite current circumstances restricting us from staying overnight, the children enjoyed an extended day packed full of activities, including archery, woodland skills, bug hunts, team-building challenges and orienteering. Each activity was tailored to develop resilience, independence, teamwork and perseverance and the children certainly rose to the challenge. We were very impressed with how the children used reasoning and problem-solving in the challenge activities and their excellent communication skills allowed them to work through each activity logically and successfully. As the sun began to set, our day came to a close with a group campfire. We sang songs and watched the fire crackle as we reflected on our action-packed day at Henley Fort.
