It’s been an exciting start to our Roman topic! We’ve been looking at invasion maps and tracking the spread of the Roman Empire. It wasn’t all plain sailing for the Romans, with certain Celtic Tribes ensuring that the spread was not a smooth one. We’ve also been using maps to look at Roman roads, some of which are still there (and being used) today. In geography lessons, we’ve been using our map reading skills to look at a contrasting UK locality (Whitby).
