The sun has shone non-stop from the moment Years 5 & 6 arrived in the Isle of Wight on Monday and the smiles on the children's faces have been just as bright. They have enthusiastically donned wetsuits every day, ready to kayak, sail dinghies, take to the Solent in keel boats, paddle board and windsurf, not to mention more activities on dry land such as team games, crabbing and orienteering.
Years 5 & 6 have really demonstrated every Learner Profile characteristic as they have undertaken the challenges of being away from home, managing lots of wet kit, working together to learn new skills and encouraging each other when things are tough.
Instructors commented on what a delightful group they have been and they have really appreciated how well they have got stuck in. Both the memories made this week and the skills the children have acquired will last a lifetime. For a taster of what they have been up to, view our photos.
